Hello:
 
Apart from HIDCO/NKDA Helpline/Grievance Portal mentioned below,  many of you might be aware that there is a blog managed by HIDCO Chairman, Mr. Debasish Sen where you can find latest daily updates on initiatives HIDCO and UD is taking. Larger issues faced by residents of Newtown are also raised there at times.
 
For example, there is a blog running now highlighting delayed possession by builders without CC (completion certificate) here:
 
You can use your google or other account to post your comments there. This is very informative. Only thing we should be careful to avoid controversial and political comments there.

I hope the Toll-free and online Grievance registering system becomes a persistent system and managed efficiently, professionally and courteously. It may also make sense to publish grievances (unless not desired by submitter) and responses in the same websites so that duplicate complaints can be avoided, increases public awareness and brings transparency. However, submitter must have a choice to keep his name and/or complaint (one or both) to be kept confidential to pub(not to be published) while submitting the grievance.

"NKDA Board meeting was held today. We decided, inter alia, that (a) parking fees would be introduced in New Town : the rates were approved today (b) block committees consisting of officers would be formed to report on local problems and solve (c) water meters would be installed in commercial, institutional and bulk residential buildings (d) scada-based sensing automation for utilities such as water supply, sewerage, power supply, optical fibre etc would be devised (e) strong action would be initiated against such institutions who had started operating with involvement of many students/ people without Completion Certificates (f) e-tender would be used for all works above Rs 50 lakhs"

NKDA is listening.....They have posted status to notices for completion certificate by all applicants in its portal:

Akankha one still shows as pending with NOC from WBF and EC.....Also Form-3 for Lift.
Gives status of Uttara, Rosedale, SunrisePoint, Uniworld et. all......
