NAKED DONALD TRUMP STATUES ERECTED ACROSS U.S.

BY CONOR GAFFEY  NEWSWEEK

Most people feel like they have got to know Donald Trump a little too well during the 2016 United States presidential campaign.
The Republican candidate has shared intimate views on why migrants should be subjected to “extreme vetting” when entering the U.S., put his wife Melania and children front and center at the Republican convention and even shared his impeccable medical history with the electorate.
Now, the world has seen Trump naked. Well, an artist’s interpretation, at least.
Life-sized naked statues of the businessman-turned-presidential-candidate appeared on Thursday across the the U.S. in New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco and Cleveland.

The installations are the work of INDECLINE, an activist collective. “It is through these sculptures that we leave behind the physical and metaphorical embodiment of the ghastly soul of one of America’s most infamous and reviled politicians,” the group said in a statement reported by the BBC.

The statues, orange-tinted and providing a fair representation of Trump’s famous golden locks, elicited a range of responses from passers-by—from adulation to eroticism to imitation.

It is unlikely that the Republican candidate will be very pleased with his depiction in the statues. While the old adage goes that there’s no such thing as bad publicity, the statues appear to be missing a key body part, which is hinted to in the title given to the installation: “The Emperor Has No Balls.

Dear All:

They are now mocking him!

The emperor who would set back the clock
of centuries old progress towards racial equity and make America white again
is now an object worthy only of derision by those he aspires to lead
and most of the sane human beings around the world
has been shown to have little hands but also lacks balls.

What a grotesque example of the Homo sapiens!

Bye,

Ola

What if it is Hillary? Would it be funny? I do not think so.
This is not funny at all. And I hope no Trump supporter should try to put naked Hillary up.

Thanks

Naked Donald Trump Statue Pops Up in Hollywood

Yep, it's the Donald in all of his, um, glory. Be forewarned, what is seen cannot be unseen.

Naked Donald Trump Statue Pops Up in Hollywood

HOLLYWOOD, CA — In an election year where things have gone from strange to weird, now comes this — naked statues of Donald Trump appeared in several cities across the nation, including in Los Angeles.

The completely nude statue, including all of Trump's, um, attributes was placed on the sidewalk in front of Soap Plant & WACKO, a gift shop/art gallery in Los Feliz. The life-sized statue is among one of many placed in major cities, such as San Francisco, New York, Seattle and Cleveland.

I think it is done tastefully. His hair looks real, and his face looks like his, now all we need is one of the women that slept with him to attest to the rest.
But what do I know, I may be wrong.

Instead of debating issues, looser do the works shown below. Hilary is offering nothing because she has nothing to  offer.

Trump has handsome sons and beautiful daughters, his small prick did good job. How many has Hilary with her womanhood? Even the only one she has is very ugly. They are shameless. These are liberals who claim to defend lesbians, homosexuals etc making a mockery of another paining him as small dick. They have run out of ideas.

I do remember one of Late Gani Fawehinmi's first human rights cases was about a reporter from Rivers states, who was arrested because the Governor's "feelings" was hurt because the journalist accused him of squandering state funds to bury his mother.
It is more than 45yrs ago, so I forgot the journalist's name, Oma or ohakhiri, something of that sort.
Without lawyers like Fawehinmi, someone like that "ohakhiri" would have died unsung.
You lawyers must defend constitutional rights even if the "victim" is a Boko Haramist whose house was illegally searched but showed pictures of step by step of how he blew up a building full of dead bodies.
If the search was unconstitutional, lawyers should stand up and defend those rights.

Afis,

Another way of putting it is that Rule of law should reign supreme, right? And the law gives responsibility to arrest suspects to the police even in the US. If the law says a prostitute cannot solicit men from her window, she should not (freedom of speech not withstanding). In the same vein, if the law says breach of the peace is a crime, no one should breach the peace (freedom of speech not withstanding). Part of Rule of law is that an accused/suspect is represented in Court by a lawyer, and it is still happening in Nigeria. Even neo biafran leader is represented by lawyers.

Ayo,

Your ignorance knows no bound, the issue is can you call your stinking dog "Buhari"?

Answer: Hell Yes! What law was violated by calling your own dog "Buhari".

*** Ayo come here! Ayo come here now!! Right now!!! Sit! Sit! Ayo sit, now! ***
(Sorry bro! I was talking to my dog, name change to "Ayo"). lol!

I need to buy a black goat and call it, Buhari! Also, I would have a white coat built for my black goat with APC symbol of a "broom" sweeping "shit" from Tinubu Square In Lagos and my goat name of "Buhari" PLASTERED on the white coat on my black goat, while  I walk my goat in front of ASS ROCK, Abuja.  Now, that is fucking COOL! That is fucking free speech!

Buhari, ANY person called Buhari is NOT the owner of the name Buhari? If any person named "Buhari" claims he OWNS the goddamn name - show us the certificate (copyright law doc).

Iguade, (calling his dog "Ayo", but his dog his confused because he is used to another name, Hehehehe!

The image shows American women are hunger for erection. Women like Hilary hungers for it and that is why they want the seats of men.

If not, why would they attack the man's virility?

They have nothing to offer the world.

Afis comment: The rule of law is not always right, and not cast in stone.
As community accepts new migrants they bring on their own beliefs and norms and tradition.
Sometimes laws have to be changed to accommodate new entrants or their will come a time the community will go up in flames.
In your bringing up this prostitution thing, in many countries prostitutes have fought and their trades legalized.
So I really don't why this mere shouting from a window, in this modern times except in archaic Nigeria where old British laws are still in use, no modern country will criminalize most "shout from a window".......some laws have been found unconstitutional, which were mostly erected by the moral police based on the religious belief of some powerful sect or religion, or mostly that violate some remote charters signed between countries.

"Rule of law" is mostly created based on the decisions of the powerful and the majority's moral beliefs in any society. That's why lawyers and journalists are very important in any society, Nigerian lawyers excluded.
When these laws are tested by those minorities who are affected by those laws, most of the time the so called laws are made to disappear. You can arrest anyone, Alagba, on flimsy excuse that "he gazed" too long at another man's wife. That too could be a disturbance if we stretched yours a little farther.
Since the person's gaze "is an act which disturbs.......even one person", a policeman should be called to arrest the gazer.

In case of the prostitute who solicits men from her window, I strongly believe that would not pass the smell test in this modern USA.  That I am sure of.
Shouting out of a window be it a prostitute or a Muazeem will only be met with misdemeanor charges, not criminalized.
I think we should look for a more appropriate example.
I really find that definition on "breach of peace" you unearthed, Alagba, as very archaic and couldn't be useful to this discourse.
I just read some tough battle going on in Canada on overturning some anti-prostitution laws. Those supposedly "rule of law" on prostitution those laws are being challenged in Ontario, as violating rights and all.
It was the "rule of law" that had a neighbor called the police in Florida to report that his neighbors were killing animals in their backyard.
The neighbors were arrested, found guilty, but the higher court threw out the case because the "rule of law" in place violated their religious rights notwithstanding the neighbor that felt offended.
The neighbor's  concerns such as you stated: "any act which disturbs the public or even one person". What Chinakwe did disturbed the complainant (one person) and was a "misbehavior" with the possibility of  "resulting in public unrest or disturbance". .....Alagba Ojutalayo.

How come the Supreme Court threw out the lower court's verdict if the rule of law is that sacrosanct?
Not to deviate, rule of law that doesn't conform with human rights  charters signed by all countries needed to be overhauled.
The prostitutes are trying to win their case against the unfair laws enacted by moral police. Same members of the moral police are customers to the prostitutes!

I don't see anyone arrested, my good Alagba.
The words to watch there is "unpermitted erection".
The park is run by the city, permit is required to place any object on city park, or else it is in the least called "littering".
If the owner goes to the city for permit and refused, you may find one or two lawyers taking up his case pro bono.

I know free speech has limitations, but those limitations must be rightly watched and guarded by the Press, attorneys and judges.

RULE OF LAW is a universal CONCEPT, thus "Rule of Law" discussion or argument cannot be attached to ANY specific law as "suggested" in the presentation below. However, I agree that SPECIFIC law over time due change, change or not, that law old or new is still under the CONCEPT of "Rule of Law".

Rule of Law is timeless and endless. It is a concept that CANNOT be limited to a specific law, but is germane to ANY law. God bless. Iguade

Afis,

We should be able to agree that until a law is challenged and declared unconstitutional by the appropriate Court, it is the law and should be followed be it in Nigeria or in US. That is Rule of law. During the process of challenging the law, those involved should be ready for the sacrifice and not complain that the law is not the law or that the law enforcement agents are archaic or biased. Kanu of biafra is a good example. May be he can convince the Supreme Court that his actions and various statements are covered by free speech and his fundamental human rights. Ditto with Chinaike in Ogun State.

Dan Akusobi:

Of eight classes of exceptions to "Freedom of Speech" in the USA, involving fifteen instances, I quote one relevant to the discussion at hand about the Buhari-dog-naming saga:

QUOTE

Fighting words and offensive speech

In Chaplinsky v. New Hampshire (1942), the Supreme Court held that speech is unprotected if it constitutes "fighting words".[27] Fighting words, as defined by the Court, is speech that "tend[s] to incite an immediate breach of the peace" by provoking a fight, so long as it is a "personally abusive [word] which, when addressed to the ordinary citizen, is, as a matter of common knowledge, inherently likely to provoke a violent reaction".[28] Additionally, such speech must be "directed to the person of the hearer" and is "thus likely to be seen as a 'direct personal insult'".[29][30]

Along with fighting words, speech might be unprotected if it either intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly inflicts severe emotional distress.[31] However, such a rule (which has never been explicitly decided) would be limited to private figures. The Court held in Hustler v. Falwell (1988) that satire which could be seen as offensive to a "public figure" is fully protected.[32] Such speech is rooted in a historical protection of political satire.[33] A notable example of a case involving offensive speech was the Court's decision in Texas v. Johnson (1989), which struck down a law criminalizing flag burningin Texas.[34]

Threats of violence that are directed at a person or group of persons that has the intent of placing the target at risk of bodily harm or death are generally unprotected.[35] However, there are several exceptions. For example, the Supreme Court has held that "threats may not be punished if a reasonable person would understand them as obvious hyperbole", he writes.[36][37] Additionally, threats of "social ostracism" and of "politically motivated boycotts" are constitutionally protected.[38] However, sometimes even political speech can be a threat, and thus becomes unprotected.[39]

UNQUOTE

Any society is which there is no limit WHATSOEVER to free speech is NOT by definition a society; it is a definition of anarchy.  The important issue that we must emphasize is that the offended person or persons should NOT resort to self-help, and should be able to seek protection under the law, and it is the law that should be allowed to judge whether the action really rises to violation of free speech, not rabble-rousers who - for narrow ethnic or political agenda, or even for genuine reaons - rail for or against that who feels violated.

And there you have it.

"In Chaplinsky v.

Along with fighting words, speech might be unprotected if it either intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly inflicts severe emotional distress.[31] However, such a rule (which has never been explicitly decided) would be limited to private figures.".........END.

Link supplied by our Indomitable VC.

Afis comment: Maybe a lawyer can help here.

This is the way I interpret the highlighted and underlined above. Without the last sentence, the whole underlined is useless, and can't hold in a court of law.

It states: "Additionally, such speech must be directed to the person of the hearer" and is "thus likely to be seen as a 'direct personal insult'".

END.

In my view, the words "additionally, such speech....", really seem to tie together all sentences highlighted and underlined above.
I am not a lawyer, but that's my layman's conclusion.

I also urge us to read Virginia vs Black:
QUOTE:
"In Virginia v. Black the Court found that Virginia's statute against cross burning is unconstitutional, but cross burning done with an intent to intimidate can be limited because such expression has a long and pernicious history as a signal of impending violence. Justice Sandra Day O'Connor delivered the opinion stating, "a state, consistent with the First Amendment, may ban cross burning carried out with the intent to intimidate." In so doing, the Court considered the speech to be constitutionally unprotected "true threats." Under that carve-out, "a State may choose to prohibit only those forms of intimidation that are most likely to inspire fear of bodily harm."

The Court did, however, strike down the provision in Virginia's statute which stated "Any such burning of a cross shall be prima facie evidence of an intent to intimidate a person or group of persons," holding that the provision was facially unconstitutional because of its "indiscriminate coverage."  The state, therefore, must prove intent to intimidate."......END.

*******

This is a case of KKK and cross burning.
In my understanding, the court seems to be clearer. If the Supreme Court threw out a state law on cross burning, I wonder what a US court would say about "dog named Buhari".
