Hello Jeremy,

Are you looking for mobile-only campaigns, or for app promotion ads?

We want to create campaigns that have 'Campaign subtype' set to 'Mobile apps', but we can't find anything in the documentation or the forums on how to do this.  Is this supported by v201302?

Thanks,

Jeremy

Hello Jeremy,

Mobile ads are currently not supported in the API unfortunately.

Hi Danial, thanks for the response.  We were not aware of app promotion ads, but they look like they may be useful to us.

Yes, we are looking for mobile-only campaigns, as we only want our ads to appear on mobile devices.  We've set our campaign types to 'display network only' and our 'devicePreference' fields to 'mobile', but there is another parameter called 'campaign subtype' that can be set to 'all features', 'remarketing', or 'mobile apps'.  When creating campaigns manually using Adwords, we found that this field needs to be set to 'mobile apps' in order to enable app category targeting for ads, which we need.

Do you know if we can set the campaign subtype using the API?

Thanks,

Jeremy

Beside "mobile ads" that are not supported how can we set up "campaign subtype" over the API. For example campaign_subtype='All features'?

Hello Sasa,

There is no concept of campaign "subtype" in the API. Any campaign can be set up in any way, as long as the feature is available in the API.
