Hi Dan,

In the current version of TDL, there is an option to create a dependent task below the selected task:
see 'menu' : New Task > New Dependent Task Below Selected Task.

All other options in this submenu 'New Task' have both directions available: above & below, top & bottom.
Except this option that only has the 'below' direction offered.

Is this a technical limitation related to the dependency?

I raise this question because I miss the other direction (i.e. create a dependent task above the selected task).
This might ease to have items ordered like in a paper documents folder, where last document is placed on top of existing ones to have history timeline flow from top (recent) down to bottom (start of history).

Having most recent sub-tasks on top near the task title gives the reader a quick view on recent information / activities for this task.
It will reduce current extra work to move each item manually upwards when it is created with the existing (useful) option, as it is positioned below.

If there is no technical limitation, I will then create a suggestion to add this feature.

Thanks for your feedback - Eric

Tested and found ok on my side - it will save me several daily keyboard shortcut "keyings" to move tasks manually.
Thanks for the enhancement - Eric
