Her younger brother, Ben, could imagine nothing worse than never knowing what happened to her, until, on the first anniversary of her death, he found her body in a shallow grave by the rivers edge. Ben, now sixteen, is committed to finding the monster who abducted and strangled Ellen. Police believe she was the victim of a psychopath known as the Demon. But Ben--a math geek too smart for his high-school classes--continues to pore over the evidence at the local police precinct, gaining an unlikely ally in his school's popular new girl, Ro Majors. In his sister's files, Ben's analytical mind sees patterns that don't fit, tiny threads that he adds to the clues from other similar unsolved murders. As the body count rises, a picture emerges of an adversary who is as cunning and methodical as he is twisted. At first the police view Ben's investigation with suspicion. Adult Non Fiction:
What Happened by Hillary Rodham Clinton
Hillary Rodham Clinton reveals what she was thinking and feeling during one of the most controversial and unpredictable presidential elections in history. Free from the constraints of running, Hillary takes you inside the intense personal experience of becoming the first woman nominated for president by a major party in an election marked by rage, sexism, exhilarating highs and infuriating lows, stranger-than-fiction twists, Russian interference, and an opponent who broke all the rules. She describes what it was like to run against Donald Trump, the mistakes she made, how she has coped with a shocking and devastating loss, and how she found the strength to pick herself back up afterward. With humor and candor, she tells readers what it took to get back on her feet -- the rituals, relationships, and reading that got her through, and what the experience has taught her about life. She speaks about the challenges of being a strong woman in the public eye, the criticism over her voice, age, and appearance, and the double standard confronting women in politics. She lays out how the 2016 election was marked by an unprecedented assault on our democracy by a foreign adversary. By analyzing the evidence and connecting the dots, Hillary shows just how dangerous the forces are that shaped the outcome, and why Americans need to understand them to protect our values and our democracy in the future. The election of 2016 was unprecedented and historic. What Happened is the story of that campaign and its aftermath -- both a deeply intimate account and a cautionary tale for the nation.

Killing England by Bill O'Reilly
Told through the eyes of George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and Great Britain's King George III, Killing England chronicles the path to independence in gripping detail, taking the reader from the battlefields of America to the royal courts of Europe. What started as protest and unrest in the colonies soon escalated to a world war with devastating casualties. O'Reilly and Dugard recreate the war's landmark battles, including Bunker Hill, Long Island, Saratoga, and Yorktown, revealing the savagery of hand-to-hand combat and the often brutal conditions under which these brave American soldiers lived and fought. Also here is the reckless treachery of Benedict Arnold and the daring guerrilla tactics of the "Swamp Fox" Francis Marion.

Understanding Trump by Newt Gingrich
The presidency of Donald Trump marks a profound change in the trajectory of American government, politics, and culture. He is the only person ever elected to be commander in chief who has not first held public office or served as a general in the military. His principles grow out of five decades of business and celebrity success -- not politics -- so he behaves differently than do traditional politicians. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich analyzes how President Trump thinks and makes decisions. He also presents Trump-style solutions for national security, education, health care, economic growth, government reform, and other important topics. Gingrich identifies the forces in the Washington establishment, media, and bureaucracy that will oppose the president at every turn. Finally, he explains the president's actions so far and lays out a vision for what Americans can do to help make President Trump's agenda a success
