Welcome to the transparent.org google group. The purpose of this group is to provide a discussion forum for ideas and techniques for operating software projects transparently, and for increasing transparency in the face of resistance.
There is more than one way to do this. What matters is achieving the goal of a shared understanding of the project among all team members and the client or management. The value of transparency shines through regardless of the specific mechanism by which information is shared, so long as it is freely available.
The group is specifically not looking to select or define the best way to achieve transparency or exactly what form it should take. But, we still like comparing and contrasting different approaches to understand them and when to use them better.
