Proportional Representation Questions & Answers

This is a Google Question & Answer group. Anyone can ask questions. You don't have to (in fact shouldn't) join the group to ask questions. Simply ask your question and we'll try to answer it. No question is too basic to be asked. Our goal is to educate. The more people know about proportional representation, the better they like it. Unfortunately there is a lot of misinformation being circulated by special interests who don't want your vote to count. One of our goals is to counter that.

Don't ask to join the group unless you believe you have sufficient knowledge to help answer other people's questions. If you are joining this group, it is because you have some knowledge of proportional representation and you want to help promote it. You may discuss differences between proportional systems but you may not promote one system as "best" and you may not promote winner-take-all systems. Failure to comply with these basic rules will lead to you being removed from the group.
