What is poly? Here's a common definition:

The practice, desire or acceptance for more than one emotionally intimate relationship at a time with the knowledge and consent of everyone involved. It is a form of consensual, ethical, and responsible non-monogamy.

All forms of poly are welcome here: -amory, -gamy, -andry, -gyny, -fidelity and any others that I may have missed.

Whether you currently identify as poly, have a partner who is poly, or if you're curious about poly: come in, INTRODUCE YOURSELF, ask questions and share answers.

Those who practice other forms of HONEST non-monogamy (ie: open relationships, swinging, etc) are welcome to join as well but please note that all threads must be POLY focused.

In creating this group, I am not claiming to be an authority on the subject. In fact, I'm still learning! (Aren't we all?) So let's come together - from the novice to the experienced - and begin discussing, sharing ideas, events, insights, experiences and resources.

Each one, teach one :D

Please keep these rules in mind when posting:

  • All threads must be POLY focused.
  • Do not make generalizations. Speak from experience.
  • Do not derail the thread! If someone leaves a comment that you'd like to discuss further, respond in the thread if it adds to the topic of the OP. Otherwise, message the commenter privately.
  • Contact a moderator for approval before promoting other groups. Feel free to post poly-friendly events without contacting the mods. Note: Event threads will be deleted 90 days after the event has passed (if there is no on-going discussion) in order to keep the place tidy.
  • Do not alter or delete the Original Post as to remove the initial purpose of the thread. It is annoying and rude to those who have taken the time to respond. (Editing to make grammatical corrections or for clarification, etc is fine.)
  • No personal attacks or flaming. Let's be mature adults. We don't have to agree with each other in order to be civil.
  • No personal ads, business ads, soliciting, trolling, or spam. There are other groups for that.
  • No "game" threads. (ie: FUCK or PASS, favorite fetish of the person above you, etc)
