Welcome to the Data Champions Group.

We are doing a lot of great stuff in our schools using data that makes a difference to the achievement and outcomes for our students.

Two teachers who are enthusiastic about data – Mark Hooper, Otago Boys High School and Jake Wills, Kāpiti College – decided to bring school data champions together.

This is a follow up from our first conference.

This page is designed to support, offer advice and share ideas with other New Zealand teachers or SLT working with data in schools. All members must be familiar with the following guidelines:

Comments must be supportive and non-judgmental
This group is open to anyone using data in a school, or supporting those that do. Those that are involved with commercial products are allowed to join and post (based on the feedback from the survey, this is what the majority wanted, as they are able to provide value to the group as a whole). However, if you are linked to a paid product or service and posting to this group, please be up-front about these links. Excessive posting about commercial products will lead to the removal from the group.
