Computer Science Curriculum Internationalization

Hi,

I am André Schappo, the initiator and administrator of this forum. I have much experience in teaching students how to code and build systems for the world. I hope to share my knowledge and experience with those that are interested in internationalizing their Computer Science/ICT/IT curricula.

I look forward to some interesting discussions on internationalization. Some possible topics for discussion includes Unicode, regex, Fonts, Databases, Keyboard Mappings, IDNs ...etc... It is a huge subject area. It is my considered opinion that internationalization should be core to Computer Science/ICT/IT curricula and the teaching thereof should start from day 1, year 1 of any course.

The above are my views. I encourage all to contribute your views, your thoughts and your experiences. I welcome thoughts and discussion from both Academia (staff & students) and Industry.
