Welcome to the All Hours Church Google Group for church pastors in Tallahassee, Florida. Since not everyone knows how to use Google Groups or Google Calendar, this welcome post will explain everything. It will help churches coordinate their schedules with one another throughout the city, provide a place to communicate and a calendar for the public to see that contains all events posted by every church in Tallahassee. For those new to Tallahassee, who may not have joined a church yet, having access to a common calendar for all churches can be particularly useful. To contribute to the calendar, you must first join the group. This requires that you have a Google account. Once your membership is accepted, you will be granted permission to contribute your church's events to the calendar for all of Tallahassee to see. The area to access this will be found in your Google apps area under "Calendar." You will be able to integrate the All Hours Church calendar with your personal calendars and share these calendars with anyone you wish. 
 
We are praying about building up an All Hours Church facility in Tallahassee, Florida and want to pray with you about this vision. For more information see http://allhourschurch.com and schedule an appointment. At these appointments you will share your church's vision, mission and needs with James Carvin and other volunteers and James will explain the All Hours Church mission and ask what the Holy Spirit is telling you. Consider the  All Hours Church a free extension of your local church and congregation. We are one body as the body of Christ Jesus, united by one Holy Spirit. There are many places of worship and many assemblies of believers but only one Lord and one God and Father of all who unites us. Regardless of your church's denominational affiliation, the All Hours Church is being lifted up as a place of support. We are not looking for donations or for volunteers from your local assembly to support this vision at this time. We believe that the power of God will move in a new way when brothers and sisters worship together in unity and will wait on the Lord before asking for money or choosing a location. We want to pray with you and hear from you before taking any action. We will not ask for help unless the Helper asks us to and He has not asked us to ask you for help so far. Hearing what the Lord is saying to us is one of the reasons we created this Google Group. Please feel free to tell us how the Lord is speaking to you about the churches working together, or if you have any special needs you want the other church pastors to be aware of.

We would also like to pray with you about where to locate a common church extension for all churches in Tallahassee to use, what type of facilities to offer, and what core activities to provide. We know that the Lord will provide all that is needed when we have asked Him for wisdom and discernment and to know His will. The All Hours Church is at the service of the local congregations and not the other way around.

One immediate feature of the All Hours Church is not a facility but a common calendar for all of the local churches. This will allow your church to post its events so that all of Tallahassee will have a single place to learn what is happening in the churches. Anyone may ask to join this group to contribute their church's events to the calendar, to comment in the forums, to pray with us, and to let us know what the Lord has said to you regarding the All Hours Church mission, or your local church's mission. Participants in this Google Group are asked to please restrict their conversations to these topics. Lay participants are welcome to contribute but may not contribute to the calendar without permission from their pastor and may not contribute to pastor only forums.

FORUM RULES
Keep in mind that this Group is not a place for public debate. If you have disagreements with anyone who posts here, please contact them privately or contact this forum's moderators privately. Inappropriate posts will be removed by our moderators. Each forum will be clearly identified so that you will know whether it is for pastors only or for others. Be careful not to post in ALL CAPS. We realize some people post in all caps in order to read better or by mistake but many people view this as shouting. Try not to dominate discussions. We would like to hear from everyone equally. If the Holy Spirit is truly speaking we expect Him to speak through all and not just a few. That is why we are here.

We understand that many pastors do not have time for the Internet or are simply not familiar with it. Some even consider it an evil in itself. Others are taking advantage of the Internet to communicate with each other and with the public. This is what the Internet interface of the All Hours Church is here to support. For pastors who do not use Internet technology, we ask that church members volunteer to communicate here on their behalf and we will make some exceptions as to who may post in those cases. We only ask that you do not speak on their behalf without actually discussing what they wish to communicate with them. As their "ambassadors," we urge you not to make assumptions about what you think they would want to say. Discuss each matter with them before speaking on their behalf or posting events.
