Wheel or motor noise issues?

Hello,

My Kobuki is about one year old and the wheels, motors and gears have always run very quietly when the robot is moving.  This is still true at low speeds but once the speed reaches about 0.3 m/s and above, there is a loud screeching noise that sounds like it is coming from the drive wheels.

I pulled apart the base and drive wheel covers and cleared out any dust and cat hair (there was not very much anyway) but that did not fix the noise.

I have also tried running the robot on blocks so there is no load on the wheels and caster wheels are not turning but the noise still appears at moderate to high speeds.

So my question is: do other people hear this screeching noise at moderate speeds and if so, were you able to fix it?
