Hello,

We are a group of french students working on a Turtlebot. We are currently sending data to the Kobuki basis via the serial port to play custom sounds. We send the frequency, and the duration of the music note. It works perfectly fine.

Tought we have an issue, the volume of the sound played by the Kobuki basis is way lower than the basic ones (such as the turn off sound)

Is there a way to change the volume of the music note played ?

I didn't write the firmware, however it looks like the volume setting is probably happening in the firmware itself and sending individual notes could be getting handled differently to the pre-programmed sequences (e.g. the turn on chirp). Unfortunately we don't have anyone on non-critical firmware jobs right now so we won't have a fix rolling out anytime soon. Sorry.

I suspect you are the first group that has road tested this....the indiana jones tune is cool.
