Weatheradio Canada Ending: March 16, 2026

Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) announced that Weatheradio Canada will be discontinued on March 16, 2026. This decision stems from the high operational costs of the 230-site network and the widespread availability of digital, Internet-based alternatives, following a 2020 proposal to decommission 21% of transmitters.
