YRARC Call Out Mt. Albert 5K Event

The radio club is looking for volunteers to support the 2025 Mount Albert 5K Run/Walk . The radio club has provided communications and safety for this event for a number of years and we have been asked again for our help. This event is managed by the York Region Police, 1 District CORE Unit and the Mt. Albert Sports Committee. Details as follows.

Mount Albert 5K Run. Main Street 

When:  Saturday June 7, 2025.

TIme:  7:30am to 12:pm (Approximately)

Volunteers Required: Minimum 14 Plus.

Radio Frequencies: To be determined
Requirements: HT Radio (Dual Band if possible, Safety Vest, other items to be provided closer to the event)

Scope:  Work with the York Regional Police and the Race Committee to:

• Assist with road closures through Mt. Albert
• Keep vehicle traffic off the race route.
• Provide communications and safety for participants and onlookers. 
• Assist with opening of streets as required.
