Hello, everyone.

We’re now half a year away from the initial Workday launch next February.

This month, after winding down the second big wave of testing, the programme team has been able to start socialising some of the key changes we can expect in the new year. We’ve been discussing these in sessions with the hundreds of representatives that make up the Change Network, and have now added details to the web hub for everyone to explore.
Support and advocacy

There’s a lot of complexity here, and many of these areas mark a big cultural shift for us. We’ll keep working new information into these and other pages as and when we can, with reassurance that full guidance is coming together for the training sessions and resources from November onwards.

We’re continuing the conversation with senior leaders, the Change Network and other working groups, using themes from the latest Change Readiness Survey to keep building awareness and endorsement at all levels.

As more tangible details of the transformation become clearer, this can bring with it a range of emotions for ourselves and those around us. Recognising that, we’ve developed new, practical resources in the Staff Learning Collection for you and your teams – including topics on navigating ambiguity and the growth mindset to support your development.

Bringing it all to life

We’re also launching a second round of Change Roadshow sessions in late September and early October. Open to all York staff, they'll give a closer look at key transformation topics, explore direct access as an enabler of the future of work, and give more of an insight into Workday itself. You can now book your place; we’d love to see as many of you there as possible, so spread the word to anyone you think would benefit.

As a final thank you this month, I’d like to call out everyone across our workstreams – HR; Finance; Data and tech; Change management – for the incredible amount of dedication and precision they’ve put in to get us to this stage.

Take care, everyone. We’ll see you very soon.

All the best,
Transformation team
