Happy June, everyone.
There’s a lot to talk about this month. Behind the scenes, the second Workday prototype is almost complete, ready for our process experts to kick off their second wave of testing. This time, they’ll be checking that processes and integrations work ‘end to end’: does the recruitment process lead nicely into onboarding, then payroll, then benefits, and so on.
The programme timelineWe have a clear picture of the stages leading up to go-live and beyond. Our new
timeline on the web hub gives a broad overview of what to expect when, as well as recognising the collective effort so far. In the short term, after end-to-end testing is complete, we’ll be able to start showing some Workday previews (which we've all been waiting for), and start gearing up for training.
The cultural shiftThe People and Organisational Development team have been working on some short videos explaining more about the programme’s design principles – direct access; standardisation and simplification; and so on – to get us all thinking about how they will affect our ways of working. We’ll begin sharing these in stages over the coming weeks. A special mention to Tom Babington and team for pulling them together.
The latest questionsElsewhere, we’ve expanded our
technical topics page with a little more information on tasks and workflows, and our
common questions page with notes on AI use and more. After this summer phase of testing, we’ll have a fuller understanding of various service-level areas, so we’ll keep revisiting our ‘parking lot’ of questions you’ve asked to keep feeding information into the web hub.
The Change NetworkOur monthly
Change Advocate sessions are now up and running, focusing first on the psychology of change and wellbeing support before we explore some real-life Workday examples further down the line. Do keep an eye out for your local Change Advocates identifiable by their new lanyards, badges and stickers; they’ll feed your thoughts back to us each month. We’re also continuing our senior leader briefings, with
Charlie recently lending his thoughts to celebrate the role of Change Advocates going forward.
The readiness surveyFinally, we’re preparing to launch our second readiness survey, following the first one back in early spring. Again, it’ll be quick and easy to complete (with some prize draws in the mix this time around), and will play a big part in shaping the next phase of comms and engagement. Keep your eyes on your inbox for the message from Hive (the University’s survey platform) when Jenny hits send next week.
Thanks again, everyone. More soon.
All the best,
Transformation team
