Happy April, everyone.
It’s been another busy month. We’ve been having a closer look at the main themes from the baseline survey we ran throughout March, so thanks again for all your responses.
While there’s a good high-level awareness of the transformation, we understand that you’re keen to get into the detail of what the changes mean for you. There’s also lower engagement from academic staff at this early stage than those across Professional Services, so there’s more work to do to bring everyone up to speed.
With that in mind, here’s the latest on various areas to bring your feedback to life as we start engaging wider across the University.
Change Roadshow
We’re really grateful to everyone who’s joined an online discussion session so far, and hope you’ve found them useful as a look behind the scenes at where we are now. We have a handful of spaces left for our final two events, so do encourage anyone in your communities to book their place if they haven’t already.
Given the demand, we’ll be sure to run similar sessions further down the line as a deeper dive into progress and milestones. As ever, your suggestions are shaping what we focus on, so send any feedback our way for the next round.
Change Network
An even bigger thank you for the incredible response to the Change Network promotion this month. 160 staff have nominated themselves to become Change Advocates for the transformation, representing a wide range of roles and teams.
We’re putting the finishing touches to the onboarding to welcome everyone to the Network. From then on, our monthly check-ins with Change Advocates will be key to us all understanding and promoting the practicalities of the transformation across the University, giving you local support, and providing a route into the testing and training that follows.
Web hub
On the back of questions you’ve raised in recent weeks, we’ve added an overview of a few technical topics to the web hub, which we’ll be able to expand as Workday testing progresses over the coming weeks and months. We’ll keep sharing what we know, when we know it, so keep checking our common questions page as we go along.
HR pages
A final special mention to Tasha Kidd and colleagues from Comms and HR, who have been working on an immense project to redevelop and move the HR pages into the main University website. You can now explore them in all their glory, and read about the project background. The blog post also includes a link to a feedback form, in case you spot any errors or want to provide general feedback. Tasha, you’re a star.
Later in the year, we’ll be updating these pages, alongside the Finance pages, to reflect any changes to processes and policies that the transformation brings about.
All the best,
Transformation team
