This may be a little out of your scope, but I wanted to ask anyway.

Would you be able to add a feature that only allows viewing of YouTube videos that read "Approved for <domain>" on them? Or maybe checks against the ytapprovals\whitelist in the Admin console and if not found the video just doesn't load?

We are having a heck of a time filtering YouTube and we are not allowed to turn it off altogether without being able to allow "wanted" content through.  And the "Approval" system is supposed to fix that, but doesn't do it correctly. (Thanks Google)  We are blocking by category now, but since category is decided by content uploader, that is kind of hit or miss.

Anyway, just wanted to see if that was even possible.

Thanks!

Thanks for posting the problem.

Safe Doc may not be a fit for this task. The ytapprovals/whitelist is not accessible by third party applications so it's impossible to build a solution.
Please contact Google support if the Youtube Approval system does work as expected. It requires network restriction setup (DNS or modifying HTTP header). But as students study from home, such restrictions may not work properly for home network.

Thanks much for looking at it!  I kind of figured that'd be the case.
