Hi Jason & Team,
I just noticed this again today that its not blocking the AI Overview for our students its hiding the AI mode but the AI Overview is still being shown. (See the attachement)

As always Our JSON file already says BlockAIOverview as true

"BlockGoogleSearchAIMode": {

        "Value": true

    },

    "BlockGoogleSearchAIOverview": {

        "Value": true

    },

I would really appreciate any assistance or insights. I am pretty sure this is Google trying to update their search engine making sure everyone uses their AI. Please let me know if you're able to reproduce this on your side. Thanks in advance!

Hello, thanks for sharing the screenshot and reporting the issue.
As far as we tested, xFanatical Safe Doc is able to block the AI Overview from our end. Please see the demo below. But you're right. Google updates search engine from time to time, and it may happen when Google recently rolls out a new version gradually.

Please first try if xFanatical Safe Doc receives the correct policy value from the student's device.
  1. In the student's browser, go to chrome://policy.
  2. Scroll down to the xFanatical Safe Doc section.
  3. Find the policy BlockGoogleSearchAIOverview. Is the policy value true?

If the policy value is true but it is still not blocking the AI overview, please contact us at sup...@xfanatical.com. We'll reproduce, investigate the issue and provide a fix.
Thank you.
