Hi GWFE Admins,

Hope you're staying healthy. Here are the updates of Safe Doc v1.30.4.
  1. New EnableMeetCameraOffCommand policy.
It provides your teachers an option to turn off and disable specific students' cameras in Google Meet, because some students do not dress properly at home or act strangely distracting other students from remote learning. You teacher can use a chat command /cameraoff studen...@example.org to stop and disable the student's camera in Google Meet. Please learn more in the Disable Student Camera In Google Meet.
  2. New EnableMeetMicOffCommand policy.
Similar to the policy above, this policy gives your teacher a chat command /micoff studen...@example.org to mute and disable a student's microphone for the rest of lecture session. This policy is to address the problem of specific talkative students who constantly disrupts the class. Please learn more in Force Mute Talkative Students In Google Meet.
  3. Updated the EnableMeetMuteAll policy.
As you know, Google Meet supported the mute all feature in the Feb 2021's update. But as students can unmute by themselves, the lecture can still be interrupted by certain students. In this update, Safe Doc's /muteall chat command will mute all students and also disable their microphone buttons until the end of meeting. It's beneficial for your teacher to finish the rest of lecture without any interruptions. Please learn more in the updated article Mute All Students In Google Meet.
This policy's default value is updated to OFF (false).
  4. Fixed an issue of policy EnableExplore which blocks the Explore feature. This policy blocks the link suggestions when students inserts a link and types keywords in Docs, Slides, Drawing etc. You can find screenshots in Disable The Explore Feature In Docs And Slides.
  5. Fixed a flickering name issue of policy BlockMeetStudentInfo, which hides students' names from the tiles and participant list of Google Meet for privacy protection.
Thank you for your time.
PS. Your feature requests are welcome. Please feel free to post your problems in the community or contact us at sup...@xfanatical.com
