Block Insert Link

Hi, I am getting reports that the Block Insert Link function in Google Docs allows a preview of the inserted link to show briefly. It ranges from blocking the preview in fractions of a second to a few seconds. I am not sure what the explanation for the timing differences would be. Is there a way to block to entire UI button for Insert Link, instead of just blocking the preview?

Hello, 

Safe Doc set a very short delay to balance the blocking and system performance. Without the delay, Safe Doc may aggressively perform the blocking and slow down the device. 

We understand the concern. While it's not possible to prevent students from inserting links to Google Docs, we would fine tune the timing to achieve a better result.
