We just bought a new domain, and I would like to add it as an alias to all email addresses active in our domain.   What is the best way to accomplish this?

Hello,

You can do it in this way.
  1. Create and run a rule Manual trigger => List users to export all your users' primary emails and download the CSV file from the rule log.
  2. Paste the primary emails to the column A in this spreadsheet Google Workspace User New Domain Email Alias Mapping. Edit the formula in cell B2 to =SUBSTITUTE($A2, "olddomain.com", "newdomain.com") and apply to column B2:B. Then you get every user's new domain email address in column B as an email alias. Download this spreadsheet as a CSV file.
  3. Create a rule Data uploaded => Add user email aliases. Use the CSV file in step 2 as a template.
  4. Upload the CSV file in step 2 to the rule.
  5. All your users will get the new domain email as their email alias.
I hope it helps.
Thank you.

Got it to work, thank you.   I didn't realize that every line counted as an event towards my quota. Good to know of any future changes.
