I hope this email finds you well. I wanted to provide you with an overview of the upcoming events and schedules for the next few weeks.


  1. Lowell Invite (Amber Zapatka Memorial Regatta):    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1eNOYGDCdWxB1xiMZFtgQq-4O5pNca4YUxZ6iYbxPOas/edit?usp=sharing
    • Buses will be arranged for all rowers this Saturday, May 11th.
    • Please note that due to the spread-out nature of races on Sunday, May 12th, we are requesting families to arrange carpooling for their rowers.
    • Rowers should be at the race course (crew trailer) two hours before their scheduled race.
    • Departure times:
      • Varsity and Girls Novice 4+: Departure from Weston Middle School at 5:30 am.
      • Other novices: Departure from Weston Middle School at 7:00 am.
    • Varsity will return home on Saturday around 12:00 pm, while novices will depart after derigging and loading equipment, hopefully by 3:30 pm.
  2. USRowing Northeast Youth Championships (May 17th - May 19th): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Hro7ASiazj20mcFy6JpeyDuBfvsKLy9tvyyJG_r_UXA/edit?usp=sharing
    • This regatta requires a USRowing Championship Membership for participation.
    • Loading Trailer on Thursday
    • Crews aiming to qualify for Nationals will have practice at the course on Friday afternoon.
    • Check with your coach regarding Friday practice, if you don't know
    • Similar to the previous Sunday, races will be spread out, and there won't be bus transportation.
    • All rowers should be at the crew trailer two hours before their race.
    • We kindly ask that after your child's race, they remain to support their teammates and assist where necessary.

    • Buses will be provided, departing from Weston Middle School at 5:30 am.
    • Please note that there will be no practice on Monday, May 27th, in observance of Memorial Day.
  4. Important Dates:
    • Tuesday, May 28th: Mandatory Boathouse Cleanup in preparation for summer rowing.
    • Thursday, May 30th: End-of-Season Celebration at the Wayland School Commons.
