Hello Everyone!

We're officially one week out from the start of our spring campaign, and I'm very excited for what we have in store for the coming months. Because of this, I wanted to reach out with a few notes regarding the spring season.

The first is clothing. The early spring has a tendency to be particularly cold and wet, so having the correct layers is very important to staying healthy and happy. All athletes should be bringing a rain layer, and should have access to additional warm clothes for after sessions, particularly when forecasted for weather.

In addition, I recommend investing in quality rowing gear - particularly additional unisuits. These can be expensive, but luckily JL, who provides our team branded gear, has a "bargain bin" where you can purchase mis printed unis at a discount. There is also trou, shirts, and other materials for sale at this link >>>> https://jlathletics.com/collections/bargain

The other is lightweight rowing, as of now I believe we have almost everyone signed up for lightweight who is, but if your child is under 150lbs I recommend going through the process. There is, however, a strict deadline of March 15th for the process. To learn more, follow this link, https://usrowing.org/sports/2019/10/18/usrowing-junior-lightweight-compliance-program-protocol.aspx. Once complete, please forward to Coach Hoffman.

Finally, I really want to stress that this email, as well as my phone is an open line for questions and concerns. While I like to empower your athletes to communicate information, I also understand that high schoolers often tend to omit the important details surrounding what we're doing. Additionally, I am always available after practices to talk about anything!

Thank you and do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or requests for clarification.

Best,
