to Region 5 Announcements

Good morning Team ☀️,

I wanted to share an opportunity to connect with the California Transition Alliance (CATA), a statewide 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to improving post-school outcomes for youth with disabilities.

CATA provides valuable resources, training, and evidence-based practices to support successful transitions from school to employment, post-secondary education, and independent living. Their work continues to expand beyond WorkAbility I, focusing on strengthening partnerships, professional development, and statewide leadership in secondary transition.

They also host the Bridge to the Future Institute and collaborate with partners such as the California Department of Education and Department of Rehabilitation to support programs like WorkAbility I.

If you’re interested in enhancing your program and connecting with a network of transition professionals, I encourage you to explore membership and involvement with CATA. For more information regarding CATA, please click on the link below. You can also reach out to our very own CATA board members,  Bridget Denton, Lisa Lennox, and Tedra Trimm, to ask questions. The membership form is attached, and you may use WorkAbility's funds for your membership fee.
