Dear all,
We invite you to our upcoming workshop on Trust in AI Chatbots, part of the Information Gyroscope (iGYRO) initiative. As people increasingly turn to AI for information, advice, and emotional support, questions of trust have become more urgent.
Featuring keynote speaker Prof. Lyle Ungar (UPenn), the session examines how conversational systems appear empathetic, credible, and persuasive—and what it takes for them to be genuinely trustworthy. It will also explore why both overtrust and undertrust can be harmful.
The programme includes a panel hosted by A/P Prof. Kokil Jaidka, with Prof. Lyle Ungar, Prof. Ng See Kiong (NUS), A/P Brian Lim Youliang (NUS), and Dr. Gerard Yeo (A*STAR). Lunch will be provided.
