Planning for SSNLP 2026 (with AAAI 2026?)

Hi all,
Hope you’ve been doing well (and enjoyed ACL in Europe if attended)!
I caught up with Yang Deng (SMU) and Wenya Wang (NTU) during ACL, and we were thinking that since AAAI 2026 will be held in Singapore (for the first time outside US!), it might be a great opportunity to align SSNLP 2026 with AAAI. Per our tradition, this should make it easier to invite top academics to give talks.
I’ve also spoken with IMDA, and they’re happy to continue supporting us - so the biggest hurdle (sponsorship) is somehow covered.
If we want to go ahead to organize SSNLP near AAAI (Jan 20-27, 2026), we might need a quick discussion soon. We’d be happy to host it either at SUTD (near the AAAI venue EXPO) or SMU (downtown – convenient for many).
Would anyone be interested in joining this effort? We may schedule a meeting in the next 1-2 weeks :)
