Position description: Research and development of cutting-edge NLP techniques to support specific business scenarios and products, including but not limited to the following directions.

• Fundamental NLP techniques, particularly for low-resource setting, e.g., NER, chunking, POS tagging, dependency parsing, error correction, machine translation, etc.
• Natural language understanding, e.g., sentiment analysis, textual entailment, emotion cause identification, stance classification, product review mining, question answering, etc.
• Natural language generation, e.g., debate test generation, question generation, product description generation, knowledge to text generation, text style editing, etc.
• Knowledge acquisition and application, e.g., knowledge extraction, knowledge integration, applying knowledge to various NLP tasks, etc. Here  the  knowledge may refer to any  form  that  encodes  human  cognition.

 

Requirements:

• Experience in research and development of related NLP topics, including but not limited to: fundamental NLP, information extraction, knowledge base, natural language understanding and inference, reading comprehension, etc.  
• Good publication records in top tier conferences, such as ACL, EMNLP, NAACL, SIGIR, KDD, WWW, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AAAI, IJCAI, etc.
• Good programming skills in Python, C++, or Java, and familiar with one shell script. Familiar with deep learning models and major deep learning programming frameworks.  
• Theoretical foundations or industry experiences in fundamental NLP techniques will be a plus.
