WE WANT YOUR ART. ALL OF IT. YES, EVEN THAT.
Listen closely, dreamers. Can you hear it? That faint, persistent hum on the wind? That's not a tractor. That's not a distant radio. That's the sound of an empty Kansas field, and it is hungry.
Hungry for towering sculptures that catch the sunset just right. Hungry for interactive weirdness that makes strangers stop, stare, and then burst into involuntary laughter. Hungry for lighting installations that turn the night into a waking dream. Hungry for beauty, for chaos, for the kind of art that makes someone say "I don't know what that is, but I felt something."
The field wants art. We want art. And we want your art.
🎨 THE GREAT CREATIVE SUMMONING
Here's the thing about art at Reso: it doesn't just appear. It's not ordered from a catalog. It isn't shipped in on trucks driven by anonymous art-delivery gnomes (though, frankly, that would be delightful).
It comes from you.
It comes from the person reading this who has a sketch tucked in a notebook. It comes from the welder who's been waiting for an excuse. The painter who needs a canvas bigger than their garage. The tinkerer with a bin full of LEDs and a twinkle in their eye. The first-timer who isn't sure their idea "counts" as art, spoiler: it counts, it absolutely counts, please bring it.
This is your invitation. Your permission slip. Your cosmic high-five.
Make the thing. Bring the thing. Install the thing in a field and watch strangers fall in love with it.
💰 AND YES, WE HAVE MONEY FOR YOU
Let's not be coy: art takes materials. Paint, wood, fabric, fasteners, wire, lights, strange adhesives, the mysterious substance you found at a surplus store and have been dying to use. These things cost money, and we have money to give you.
Art grants are LIVE. We launched at $1,500, and that number only grows as more tickets sell. This is community money, cycled directly back into community creativity. Your ticket isn't just buying you entry, it's funding something beautiful you'll walk past on a starry night and remember forever.
A few gentle guardrails: grants cover materials (the stuff your art is made of), not tools, labor, transport, or fire effects.
If you've got a project that needs a boost, apply. The worst we can say is no, and even then we'll probably say it lovingly.
📣 NOW HERE'S THE PART WHERE YOU COME IN
You personally. Yes, you.
Maybe you're not an artist. Maybe you can't weld, can't paint, can't tell a resistor from a rhinestone. That's fine. You still have a role in this and it's a big one.
Invite your art friends. The one who makes giant puppets. The one who builds kinetic sculptures in their backyard. The one who keeps saying "I have this idea for an installation" and hasn't done anything about it yet. The one who doesn't even know Reso exists but would lose their entire mind with joy if they found out.

Now on to other things.
This Sunday (also known as tomorrow) July 19 we will be having some work done on our new shade structure in Derby, followed by a pool party, you and your friends are welcome and we would love to see ya there.
