We have been using Webscorer for several years for our summer XC races - 22 races held from April to August every Tuesday. We usually have between 75 to 120 runners each week. We have a database of 450 runners who have run in the past that we use for webscorer. Generally we have15 new racers each week that we add to event. Racers do not have bibs, so we use FastTap and then add their names.

Each week we use the results from the week before as the starting list for the next race. With over 450 racers we have been using the Check-In process in Webscorer to only show the names of the racers who are actually running. We still have to add new racers each week.

We are now moving to using Race Bibs this summer which will help make the results available faster. We will add a Bib number to each racer in the database.

An idea... What if we used the Registration process instead and uploaded all the current racers from our database to the registration. As new racers arrive they could fill out their information on-line. They would automatically be given the next Bib number and they would be placed in the correct age group category. Before the race starts we would download the registration file as a start list. 

Since this is a weekly event, could we just use the same registration page each week which would contain every one in the database + any new racers. Then just download it as a starting list. Is this a good way to proceed?

We would appreciate any advice on how to do this more efficiently and using the great features of Webscorer.

Yes that would make sense.  You could have a QR code for the reg page on the day-of-race desk which racers can scan and register themselves for the race.  Saves time for everyone.

You can add your existing racer database via file upload to the online reg, once created.
