This weekend I activated several devices as control checkpoints. I logged into my account on each one so that different people could go to various points on the course to scan the runners.

I noticed that in one part of the app there is a button to delete the account. I think this is very dangerous, as someone using one of the linked devices could accidentally press it, potentially causing the loss of the ongoing race and all related account data.

The “Delete account” button is a requirement by Apple & Google - part of the App Store review process.

To delete the account, you must re-enter the password.  If you’re signing in on each device such that your helpers are not aware of your password, then there’s no way for anyone but you to delete the account.

Should you ever delete the account by mistake, we can restore the account so no data will be lost.
