When we perform race accreditation, we hand out the number and chip. Afterwards, the participant does a check-in by placing the chip on an antenna, where they can see their data, category, distance, gender, etc.

To enable this, I currently start a race with unlimited laps and activate the "Show Chip Detection popup" option. It's not an ideal solution, but it works.
It would be great if this functionality could be implemented more directly in a future update.

Have you looked at the “Chip check-in” function?

While this option changes “Start type = Individual”, you can use the chip check-in also for mass start or manual wave start:

Tap “Start race clock"
App will switch to fast-tap view
A chip detection is the equivalent of manually tapping the bib number only
Once all racers have checked in for the race (or for the next wave), “Tap same time” button
You can hide the “Tap different times” button via an option in Settings
In a wave start, repeat steps above for the next wave

Here’s an example of race which used the chip check-in feature:

Total of 1643 racers, started in waves of about 125 racers / wave, time gap between waves was about 10 minutes.

Hi Vesa,

I think Bubilo´s suggestion is focus on the Kiosko option using the App or web, for each racer can check their chip/bib a day before the race and the info shown on screen (name, distance, category, team name).

thanks,

Boris
