Hi Webscorer group,

am thinking about creating a fun new(to us) race where we have a 5k course and participants predict their time. The closest participants to their predicted time wins. How would I do this in Webscorer?

trying to wrap my head around it.

Thanks!

Here’s an example of a predicted time race: https://www.webscorer.com/race?raceid=374149

If you’re posting a start list via file upload, include a “Predicted time” column with the format HH:MM:SS for each racer. You can download the start list for this race by clicking on “Download start list / Excel XLS file” on this page: https://www.webscorer.com/startlist?raceid=374149.

If you’re using Webscorer online registration to allow each racer to self-report their predicted time as part of their reg page entry, use this option in reg setup:

It appears the embedded screenshots clipped off some of the text of my response. Here’s just the text without the screenshots.

You can also add / edit the predicted time for each racer on the app by tapping the racer name on the “Start List” panel.

To view the app setup for this race, follow these steps with the Webscorer PRO app:

Navigate to the app's home panel
Tap “Race with start list”
Tap “Download start list from Webscorer.com”
Tao “Search for results”Tap the “Race ID” field, key in 374149 and tap Enter
Navigate to the “Results Options” panel to see “Predicted time” options

Once results are posted, you can set the default time shows to be “Adjusted time” which is the calculated difference between actual finish time and the predicted time. Click on the “Edit race info” menu button to set the defaults per attached screenshot.

The results page will then show the winner as the closest time to the predicted time.
