I am timing a 6hr,12hr,24hr with 3-person teams in the 24hr. This is not a relay format. the 3-person team members are also in the 24hr as individuals. so they can be on the loop at the same time. they can cross the lap finish together on each loop
I tried the team scoring feature but because this is a lap based event -scoring by points per place does not rank the teams correctly.
My solution is to double chip team members. example: Team number 1 would have the following chips on their 300 series bibs (301and01, 302and02, 303and03). 301 would record the individual time/lap and 01 would count for team time/lap. I would have to enter each team member into the data base twice once with 301 and no team name and once with 01 and a team name.
I thought I had figured out how to score this race using flexible relay format. it worked fine when manually testing. now that I am testing with the chip reader it doesnt work because of the "do not detect chip" setting. obviously you have to set that to 10 min or so to avoid multiple reads from the same chip. however, I found out that that also applies to team members chips. so it will read their individual numbers 301,302,303 but it will only read the first team chip detected leaving me to enter the other 2 numbers manually.
I can t figure out a work around. and I am in the final hours so Ill probably just have to do it this way unless there is something simple I am missing.
