Hi all,

Anyone have any issues with programming chips? Reader is connected, detects the chip but when I go to program it, it fails. time and time again. Have changed the power settings and tried a different reader (7400 vs 9600)

Any thoughts? am attaching a couple of screen shots of my settings.

I had this problem once. I had only one antenna plugged in and it happened to be in slot 2. I fixed the issue by changing the antenna to slot 1 instead. The reads worked on any slot but read had to be in slot 1. Not sure if this is your issue but just in case.

This always happened to me but on a batch of 200 chips on 8 or 10 no more than that. Sometimes ia the chips issue.

Thank you everyone for the suggestions.

I just also wanted to add to the thread that the FX 9600 recently had a firmware update come out from zebra. I went to update my firmware and it turns out it was the original firmware from when I bought it. So I updated the firmware and then managed to program a hundred tags last night. Without too much issue. Some tags didn't want to program so I had to go back and double check my work constantly. On second attempt on the tags that didn't program the first time around they seemed to program. No problem. Maybe I'm getting interference from other tags too close

I'm doing this in an office so maybe I should stick the tags in some kind of covered container?
