I would like to allow participants to check their results by entering their bib numbers. I was advised to change the URL from 'race' to 'find' (e.g., webscorer.com/find?raceid=428262), but this solution is not working for me. Is there a quick way to enable this feature within Webscorer without having to use the JSON API?

Webscorer features a built-in "Results Kiosk" function designed specifically for this purpose: setting up a tablet or computer where participants enter their bib number to display their results on a large screen.

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to configure it:

1. Launching the Kiosk mode in Webscorer

Webscorer offers a dedicated view for participants. You can enable it directly from the race results page.

  • Open your results page on Webscorer.com.

  • In the menu above the results (where the "Leaderboard," "Categories," etc. icons are), look for the Kiosk icon (it usually looks like a small monitor or a magnifying glass).

  • You can also manually modify the results URL. If the results link is: webscorer.com/race?raceid=123456, adding the kiosk parameter (provided the organizer has enabled it) or navigating through the results menu will redirect you to the search interface.

Where did you get those instructions?  Sounds like some AI tool that’s providing incorrect info.

You can setup a “results kiosk” as follows:

On the device used for timing, set “Live results = On”
On the device used for the kiosk:
- Start the Webscorer app
- Tap “Download races”
- Tap “Recent results”
- Tap the race name
- Tap “View preliminary results”
- Tap the “Search racer” toolbar icon

You do not need to sign in to your account on the app running the results kiosk.
