Hello All,

I have been using Webscorer for timing for 10+ years now but always manually. I am wanting to get a Chip Timing System but everytime I try to start building out what I need I get bogged down in all the components and end up running around in circles.

Here is my Finish Line currently and hoping to find someone who has similar demands and is using a chip timing system with Webscorer that they like and would recommend to me.

All races are Trail Races so sometimes no access to internet at all not even hotspot in some cases. Other times hotspot from my phone to timing Tablet.

Power from Generators but open to getting UPS for running Timing.

Races have up to 400 people. Over each Season we have about 3000 bibs used across our events.

14' wide inflatable Arch creating the finish line.

I would like to use single use sticker style chips on back of bibs.

Let me know if anyone has any insight or if there is any other info you need from me to help make the decision.

Thanks

Phil

Hi Phil,

Happy to help.

Let me know when would be a good time to jump on a video call.

Hi All,

Philip, we use Webscorer with multi hardware. The type of hardware we connect depends on the sport we are timing. e.g. for Dirt bike race, motorsports, downhill MTB, Triathlon, Open water and road bike we use RaceResult hardware (Ubidium or USB timing box) with active reusable transponder, for massive events (running / cycling) with more than +300 participants we use Race Result hardware Ubidium with passive chip (disposable). if we time individual start we use photocell with webscorer, if we have splits with passive chip we add handheld RFID readers.

with RaceResult Ubidium you can connect your device with the hardware without internet, because the Ubidum have option for connect via own wifi direct to your device.

Webscore is flexible software for timing multi sports and with multi hardware.
