Hi,

after some time I'm using the Raceresult USB Timing Box (Chip timing with active chips) again.

In the past there was a "Using time-of-day" feature when starting the race to adjust the race-clock to the time-of-day.
I cannot find it anymore.
This feature was very helpful as you can synchronize easy between manual back-up times (using time of day) and webscorer.

When I start the race-clock at zero I get strange time taps:
Webscorer is always adding 2 hours to the time coming from the USB Timing Box.
The manual time taps look fine.

Andybody an idea what's the issue?

As always - race is on Saturday - so I'm a little but nervous ;-)

I'm using the Raceresult V3 Chips together with the Raceresult USB Timing Box

I used the USB Timing Box the last time 4 years ago together with the Raceresult V2 Chips.
There everything was fine.

I double checked the last time I used the chip timing:
It was a multi-device timing: Chip timing for the finish and photocell with external timer for the start.
Using the external timer you have the option "Time-of-Day" as race-clock.

Is there any option to get the time-of-day for our upcoming event:
- Wave start with manual starts
- only one windows device using the chip timing (Raceresult USB Timing box) for Lap and Finish timing

And not to forget the main problem with this 2hours offset added to the Chip time taps.
Could it be an issue with summer time or a time zone?

This happens only if you first use the RaceResult TagTool and then use Webscorer without rebooting the USB Timing Box in between.

The 2 hour gap comes from the difference of how to interpret the time you get from Windows. Windows returns the time as milliseconds since January 1, 1970. RR assumes this is in local time zone (your time zone is 2 hours later than GMT) whereas the standard interpretation (used by Webscorer) is that Windows returns the time as GMT.

Confirmed.
Usage of RaceResult TagTool --> Rebooting USB Timing Box --> Usage of Webscorer --> no more 2h offset
