Simple RFID / chip timing solutions?

Is there such a thing as a simple RFID / chip timing solution for events with < 50 participants? Can it pieced together from separate components?

The simplest (from the hardware perspective) would be to use the ThingMagic USB Pro reader or the Thinkify TR-265. Each has a built-in antenna and gets its power via USB from the Windows computer - where you’r run the Webscorer app.

The downside is that the built-in antenna will detect chips only from 4-6 feet away. So you’d need to instruct the racers to effectively self check-in by the reader to verify a detection.

To get full detection power, you’ll need a reader such as the Impinj R220 and separate antennas. Here’s our recommended setup:

Depend of the event.

For example mtb, running you can use Chainway C5 for finish. It is not an apúrate device but it's cheap. And work with webscorer app.
