Printing Results during race

I have been asked if I could print results while the race is in progress similar to below. It's old school, but many of our racers just want to see an overall list of results before everyone has completed the race.

I have found that I can click "Results" while the race is in progress, then click "View top 3." I can then click "select top N" which will give me the top 30 runners, but also gives me gender, and age group results. Ideally it would be great if we could just get a printout of everyone who has finished to that point, so we could post it on a board, and periodically reprint as more runners finish. 

I have also looked at "Taps recorded" which you can print but it doesn't give the category and gender.

I realize runners could look at live results if we have that on, but most don't have their phones with them. Again it's old school, but I get asked if its possible to do a report like below while the race is in progress.

I upload live results to webscorer and have a tv screen and laptop so they can search for finish time and position. 

Also you can ask for email and when they finish they receive and email.

Thanks Victor... We don't have a TV screen option as there is no power there, and it would be simpler to have a printout as the race progresses. We do email results after the race. 

Update: I found that if I click Results -> Results Options-> and only switch "Overall Results" on (turn off category and overall by gender), then return to View results -> Only Overall shows. It does give me an overall report... like below.

We do this all the time. Just navigate to the Overall results and use Share/Print. Webscorer isn’t very good with margins, so it sometimes cuts off the last or first name on a page, but it works for basic results.

Thanks Adam... Thats pretty close to what we want. Ideally it would show a column of place in category, but we will settle for this... Maybe Vesa can consider adding that extra column in the futre.

The awkward part is that people keep coming in, so you always have to find a slow time to print, and then as soon as you do, people finish, so they’re not on the printout. We have a battery-powered, wireless Canon Pixma 110 printer that works fairly well, but it’s still a little fussy at times.

We keep thinking about some sort of screen for displaying results, but the problems are a lack of power, a lack of connectivity (no cell service guaranteed), weather resistance (trail races in the rain), and potentially needing someone to babysit it. If the runners cared more, I might task a volunteer with an iPad to show people results—it could even update via Bluetooth if need be.

I am looking at the Canon Proxima TR 160 with battery that can do wireless by Airprint from an iPad. I had thought about thermal printers, but they print via bluetooth and it would require additional steps to print from Webscorer - save as PDF than use Thermal printer App to print.

Would the “Announcer View” work, setup on a separate device which would then keep up with the results without having to reprint all the time? No need for AC power or paper.

The defaul view of the “Announcer View” can be customized - and racers can navigate to view category results etc. if needed.

Click on “Download complete results”
Select “Excel XLSX file”
Open the file in Excel
Remove the columns you don’t need
Print from Excel
