does nobody knows this?

i ask this question with other words.

what is the difference between VP8 and VP9
does VP9 changes only things outside of the intraframe of webm or not?

i read bigger clustersizes up to 64*64 (from 8*8)..
but i dont know.. does that new technic include intraframes too?

Hi,

some notes:

yes, vp9 would be helpful with its larger transform sizes.
Plus the improved coefficient coding scheme, assymmetric transforms,
new intra prediction modes, etc.
There's also some investigation going on around genuine yuv444 support,
or even lossless.
However, keep in mind that most improvements of vp9 compared to vp8
are related to video coding (inter-frame prediction).
And there's the cost inherent to introducing another bitstream format,
which is a long-haul effort.
Takeway: need some experiments and data point about extra-gain vs extra-complexity (including project complexity)

does u know when the VP9 improvements
come over to webP?

what means that for the file compatiblity
i have a huge collection of images want for converting to webp
should i better wait with this until vp9-webp?

does have v9-webp a great difference in compr. size?

it really is too early to tell. First thing is let vp9 be done with experiments and bitstream changes...
