Making a webp addon for legacy browsers

I'm interested in making access for webp for both PPAPI and NPAPI browsers. it'd be great if you would do so yourselves, but if not guidance on how to mkae such an addon for old browsers would be great.

Take a look at the webp_js/ folder [1]. This has an emscripten based solution, one using wasm, the other not. The code itself should generally compile for whatever you're targeting, there is support for NaCl left over as well, though it's been removed in Chrome.
