So all my JPG files have precious metadata in them - usually the time
at which the picture was taken, GPS location of the picture (all my
outdoors pictures have it). What will happen to my EXIF tag when I
convert to WebP? How do EXIF tags co-exist with a RIFF container??

Hello,

EXIF tags can be embedded in a RIFF container.
Problem is that EXIF tags have become quite a jungle, and would need some sanitization
before being included in one form or another into WebP. But the possibility
is there, definitely.

I think that it would be nice if there was some "keywords" standard
tag included that allowed the image organizers (Picasa, Shotwell, etc)
to keep the organizer "tags" stored within the image, so that they
will be portable instead of storing them somewhere in an obscure local
configuration folder which makes you loose all that metadata from one
computer to another.
