Could you provide more information about the tool or command line you used? Adding the source animation and the garbled frames as attachment here could also help investigate.
I would recommend the anim_dump tool (can be downloaded through the latest libwebp-*-windows-x64.zip archive):

Thanks for the report. Which tool were you using? webpmux or anim_dump? webpmux won't composite the full image, it will just extract individual frames. anim_dump will fully reconstruct the frame.

Thanks for the report. Which tool were you using? webpmux or anim_dump? webpmux won't composite the full image, it will just extract individual frames. anim_dump will fully reconstruct the frame.
