Hi, I created Mac OS X application "WebPonize" for converting images into WebP.

WebPonize is still alpha version. So I'm waiting for feedbacks.

Thanks for doing this!
I tested it a bit, and it's overall useful at batch-converting several images.

Some potential improvement suggestions:

  * color profiles don't seem to be passed along. For instance, when trying to convert these JPG samples: http://www.color.org/version4html.xalter
  * not sure if metadata are preserved either
  * having an option for lossless compression might be useful. Or maybe, an option to always use lossless mode if the source image is a PNG.
  * If i use "File > Close" (or cmd-W), the main drop window disappear, but there's no way to make it visible again (the "File > New" option is grayed). The only way is to quit the app and relaunch...

The article is quite nice and concise! Thanks!

hope it helps,
skal/
