Is there a way to make the KMPlayer be able to play WebM videos? Like downloading a codec or plug-in or something?
IIRC, KMPlayer uses multiple backends (gstreamer, xine, mplayer,
phonon), so one or more of these must be outdated on your system. You
might start by getting a more current mplayer. Also check that you
have a suitable gstreamer installation. More:

Can you direct me to a link where I can download KMPlayer? I don't
know much about it, but if it's a Windows-based media player, there's
a good bet that it also supports DirectShow.

Looks like it will use DShow filters. [1]
On looking closer, it seems there are two products called 'KMPlayer':
the closed-source Windows freeware app that Matt and the Wikipedia
article (and maybe the OP) refer to [2], and the KDE app I was
referring to earlier. [3]
