Hi all,

I'm interested in WebM Encoding/Decoding of ARGB.

I used the alpha_encoder.cc example found in WebM-Tools to do the encoding - which works fine (tested on chrome browser: http://simpl.info/videoalpha/

I'm now intrested to do the decoding part - is there a code snippet to do that?
any news regarding when to expect support of alpha in vp8/9 ?

Thanks!

Unfortunately, as of now vp8 alpha decoding is not supported in any tools
(that i'm aware of) other than Chromium. If you are looking at code
snippets to do that, you can go through Chromium's alpha decoding code
[1] and also look into the VP8 Alpha Spec [2].

[2] http://wiki.webmproject.org/alpha-channel (method 1 is the final
implementation).

Could you please share the input video file to the webm-tools encoder?
I can take a look.
