Mailing List weird characters

Hi. I am currently experimenting building errors with libvpx, so I decided to join the mailing list and then send the config.log with my message to show the problem. However, the mailing list is showing weird characters. I attached a screenshot:

The mailing list has been receiving a large amount of spam that's made it past the filters. I've marked them as spam, but it seems that doesn't block them for everyone. I'll see if there's a better way to remove those messages. In the meantime, please feel free to post your questions to the list.
