VP9 G2 decoder for use at University?

I'm an electrical engineering student at the University of Utah.  My senior design team would like to use one of the WebM hardware decoders in a project.  My advising professor submitted a license request for the school two weeks ago.  Can anyone tell me how long this process takes and if the university is likely to receive a license?
